According to AMA guidelines, the preferred order of footnotes for the Archives Journal is: 

  1. Author affiliations
  2. Death of a publishing author (introduced with a death dagger)
  3. Information about the group members

For example the footnotes for an article might look like this:

Author Affiliations: Author affiliations are listed at the end of this article.

† Deceased. 

Group Information: Members of the Dicartha Group are listed at the end of this article.


Group Information: The members of the Dicartha Group are listed in a box on page ##.
