APA recommends a hanging indent format for references.  A hanging indent format means that the first line should be set flush left and subsequent lines should be indented. 

Additionally, the reference list should start in a new page. The word 'References' should be displayed with uppercase and lowercase letters and should be centered.  All reference entries should be double-space.  

For example:

African National Congress. 1994. The reconstruction and development programme: A policy framework. Johannesburg, South Africa: Umanyano Publications.
