Citing an online news article is basically same as citing them from print-sources. However, at the end of the reference, you need to add the URL to help readers find them later.

For example, 

Parker-Pope, T. (2008, May 6). Psychiatry handbook linked to drug industry. The New York TimesRetrieved from http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/05/06/psychiatry-handbook-linked-to-drug-industry/?_r=0 

In the reference list, you have to delete the underline appearing with the URL and color it into black. But at the same time, you still need to keep the URL clickable.
