The first-person point of view is when you include yourself in addressing the audience of the paper. First-person pronouns include: I, we, me, us, mine, ours, myself, and ourselves. If these are present in the paper, then the first-person point of view is being used. Here is an example of a sentence using first-person:
"If we want our children to become good citizens, we need to implement stricter rules."
