Purdue OWL is the most used online resource for writing. The site features guides for MLA, APA, grammar, paper genres, and much more.


Dictionary.com / Thesaurus.com are great resources for looking up words and finding more academic language. They both have friendly interface and make it easy to follow strings of words and definitions to enhance your understanding.


Grammar Girl is an online blogger who tackles grammar in fun and easy-to-understand ways. You can use her site to search for specific topics and view her explanations.


BrainyQuote is great for finding an opening quote for your paper. You can search by subject or speaker to find a famous quote to add some interest to any introduction.
